Transition and Transformation

Transition and transformation are often used interchangeably and mostly metaphorically to express the ambition to shift from [analyzing] and understanding problems towards identifying pathways and solutions for desirable environmental and societal change (Hölscher, Wittmayer, Loorbach, 2018).
🚀 Scenario
In February 2022, I began writing my first book. I was not quite certain what I wanted to write at the time, but I knew whatever I did, had to be from my heart. While writing a book may have appeared to be a formidable task being a professional with a background in accounting, and extensive managerial experience involving financial, operations and marketing matters, I honestly felt it was a doable one.
In writing my first book, it was an experience of transition and transformation at the same time. How so? Because I transitioned from my comfort zone of "crunching" and analyzing numbers to a second and somewhat neglected passion of writing, while honing my marketing skills and qualifications. Also, I had to transform my thinking in looking at the broader picture, which was connecting with a wider audience (not just internal and external hierarchy), as an introvert.
✅ Mission complete
In the end, both transition and transformation require a shift and commitment to seeing the process through (intentional effort).
This is what life is all about, making calculated shifts in our mindset and being determined to pursue a greater goal and purpose for being alive; simply by using our God-given gifts for the benefit of others.
🤔 How about you?
Are you ready for transition and transformation?
Be willing to embrace transition and know that while the process of transformation can be hard, uncomfortable, dark, and lonely at times, the end result can also be extraordinary and beautiful.
